Jason Sun, MD
Dr. Jason Sun attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Harvard Medical School, completing the MIT-Harvard Health Science and Technology M.D. Program. During medical school, he received the Carl W. Walter Endowment Fellowship and dedicated one year to basic science research in thoracic oncology. After graduation, he completed his preliminary medicine internship at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA and radiation oncology residency at The University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle WA, where he served as a chief resident during his last year of residency. During his residency, he submitted several abstracts to American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meetings. In 2012, his work titled “Development of a Correlative CT/Nasoendoscopy-based Head and Neck Anatomy Atlas” was selected as the 2nd place winner for the Annual Meeting Resident Poster Viewing Recognition Award in Clinical Category.
His clinical interests include genitourinary, gynecologic, head and neck, breast, thoracic and gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr. Sun is experienced with multiple radiotherapy techniques including volumetric modulated arc therapies (VMAT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiotherapy, particle therapies and prostate and gynecologic brachytherapy. During his residency, Dr. Sun completed additional training in prostate brachytherapy at the Seattle Prostate Institute at Swedish Medical Center.
Dr. Sun is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
